I've been married to a us citizen almost a year and on march 23rd we have an aos interview...I have a few questions to u guys...please help me if u know the answers
a)it's about the sponsor..my wife used to work but she hasn't worked the last 2 months...she is gonna start going to school so i'm gonna be the only one working for a while...I know usually the american citizen is the sponsor for the foreign spouse...my question is can i be the sponsor?because i'm making enough money...it's more than what the immigration asks(i think total income of spouses has to be at least more than $16000 in a year or something, otherwise u need someone to sponsor u)if i can be the sponsor, should i fill that i-864 form?and it says sponsor should bring last 3 year's tax returns?if i'm the sponsor since i just started working last year i have only 1 w-2...is it ok?should my spouse take her last 3 w-2's with her even though she is not the sponsor?
b)my wife and i not getting along well...we might get a divorce after the interview...i know if we pass the interview i get a conditional green card for 2 years....and i know i can apply for a permanent one even though we get a divorce...some people say i need to show some proof that we got married for real,it wasn't for green card...That's true my marriage is real but how can i prove it?what are the proofs that i can show the ins that it wasn't for the green card?
c)do we need a lot of pics for the interview?because we don't really take alot of pics?i mean we have like 50 or so but is it gonna be enough?
Thank you so much for the help guys...I'll ask more if anything comes to my mind...Appreciate all the answers.
