Questions about given names and adress format

Hello,

I am 2022 selected and had questions while filling DS-260 that I could not find answers to online.

I have 1 last name and 4 given names, and this information is correct on my birth certificate.
On my passport, last name is correct but for given names, only 2 of them are given and the first letter of the third one.
I wanted to put all of my 4 names as given names but read everywhere that I should only do what's in the passport.
Should I only use 2 and first letter of third in the given names field ?
And can I put all 4 of them in Native alphabet names ? ( they contain accentuated characters as well, making it usefull to fill)

I was also wondering about the adress format, I am trying to use US conventions and read that all should be in english but should I also translate the "road type" into english ?
If I lived in rue des sports, should I put sports road ? (rue->road in english).
I am wondering because some of my adresses would not be translatable at all.

I hope someone can help me :)

Best regards

Fill in your DS260 with your complete names (I presume these are on your birth certificate?) and put the passport usage in the “other names” section,
The english name section, if I recall correctly, will not allow you to use accented characters.

Nothing actually gets physically mailed to the address so don’t overthink that part. Normally one keeps the actual name but puts “road” etc so for example (if I understand correctly what you are asking) if you need to list them in English, I don’t know French but example from German you’d list Bahnhofstrasse as Bahnhof street, not Train Station Street. And I don’t think it’s a huge issue if you don’t know whether to use say street or road. Does that make sense?

Thank you a lot for your answer.

Yes, i will put the 4 names from the birth certificate and the passport usage in other names, I had not thought of that, hopefully if they think it is incorrect, they would allow me to correct that later.

It makes perfect sense for the adress, thank you for the explanation.
