Questions about fund support. Need comment

My spouse is a DV2009 selectee and we will probably have an interview around May to July. Since the time is coming and goes pretty fast, I think it should be safe if we prepare some important document in advance. Glancing through the lists, I have a few questions to ask about fund support. I would be appreciate if anyone can give me some advice.

My wife (a DV winner) and I have a shared-time-deposit account around USD 33k and we don’t have any kid yet. The money is above poverty guideline. Since the U.S. economy is being hit so hard this time, it is pretty hard to find a job at the initial stage, so I am not quite sure this amount of money will make the counselor satisfy during the interview or not. Maybe I think too much. I just want to make sure it will be okay, so I am thinking to find more supports and I found 2 more.

First, my sister-in-law agrees to sponsor me and she got around USD 100k in her business account.

Second, my sister-in-law’s friend living in the U.S., who is currently unemployed and just been laid off, also agrees to let us stay in her house.

My question is should it be ok if I will ask my sister-in-law friend to write us a letter to the counselor saying to provide us a place to live while using my own fund and my sister-in-law bank account as a sponsor? Also, should I use my sister-in-law account in I-134 form?
