Questions about Concurrent Filing

I have two questions. Helps will be greatly appreciated.
1) My I140 is pending and I'm going to file I485. I don't know which application type (Part 2 on I485 form) I should check. Is it a) or h)?
2) What no. is the nonimmigrant visa number? The 8 digits red one or the 14 digits visa control no.?

Yes,
1. For the applicant it is going to be (h) in part 2 and attorney need to write remarks stating that I-140 has been filed etc..
2 For the spouse and children it is going to be (b) in part 2
3. Visa no. is the 8 digit red no. not the contol no.

When we were filing our attorney had specifically instructed.

What 8 red digit # you are talking about? Is it on H-1B notice?

I currently have H-1B visa and Canadian passport.
