I have a little bit of a special case here I think. I was wondering if someone could give me an answer? My question is, I married an immigrant who came into this country LEGALLY to work on a six month permit. The permit is now expired. She told me that someone told her that since she has no social security number, she can work under mine until she gets one. Is this true? I am a US citizen born and raised. She has a visa and a passport from Brazil. She says that she can because we have a marriage liscense now.
