Hi Friends.
I find this site as being very informative and the folks here answer almost any possible question. Really appreciate all of your help.
I have a question. My friend's 485 RD is Dec 2001. He and his spouse received their EAD in Mar 2002. The spouse applied for a working SSN and received it in June and the spouse has started to work. The question here is when the spouse started to work will the primary filer's can still be under H1B as long as employment is concerned or will he have to change his status and start using his EAD hereafter.

YES, the primary filer can continue to stay in his/her H1B status if that is what he/she wants.

But then every case is unique, so it is recommended to consult an attorney if your friend wants to be absolutely certain.

Your friend need not to do anything just because of his wife started working on EAD. It's a straight forward answer.
