Question?

Hello, i've been visiting this forum for more than a year and it has been so helpfull to know other people experience. I just have a question. My case was transfered to MSC october 2006, and I'm still waiting for any change in my case status " case received and Pending", do you know if MSC approve I-485 and I-130? I had my interview in june 2006, the officer said had to wait for background check and MSC do not have the option to know the processing dates for 1485 or 1130. I know my name was cleared on january 2007, but I feel like anything is happening in my case...

I called one moth ago to USCIS and they told me that they would send an answer to my telephone inquiry in 30 days, so i do continue waitting. Is that true that MSC is just a "in transit" office? would i have to have another interview? or they can just process the case and take a decision?

Don't pay attention to what they tell you on the phone! People working for the USCIS (mis)information line have no idea what they are talking about. Soon you will figure out that you can call three times and talk to three different people and get three different answers to the same question. I'm not kidding--it has happened to me.

If you want answers, make an InfoPass appointment as PraetorianXI recommended. Just go to http://infopass.uscis.gov/.

Good luck!

He's right and them customer service not only they give wrong info but they are also mean too..I called them before I filed to ask about the translation if I could do it and ceritify by myself. She said go ahead!!!!!
how is that being mean? you could do it yourself and she told you to go ahead. I don't see anything mean about it.
