Sadasylee,since a US PR doesn't need visa to go to Canada,any idea if a canadian PR needs visa to enter the US?
When entering canada and reentering the US with your GC,there was any check or questions on both side?
On both side,when you display your GC,they let you pass with no additional documents.
 
By holding a US GC, you can enter/exit US/Canada very easily. If you are requested by Canada side for a natioanl passport, just tell them the truth that you are not supposed to have one as an asylum-based GC holder. Then you will be fine. To come back US, too simple to say anything. Yes. only the GC is good enough. No other documents needed. You can bring the approval letter with you in case your green baby gets lost. It won't occur I believe. Be brave free man :D

Canadian GC holders need visa to enter US. Canadian citizens do not need visa to enter US. I am sure about these.

Canada is a great country too. Enjoy your freedom. :)
