Hi,
My name is Suraj. I have my interview scheduled for jan 9th 2007. I came to usa on f1. I am married to USC and its been 22 months since we got married. I was in school when I married later I quit school and started working(as my wife did not have job). Since she did not have enough income when we filed we had a joint sponsorer. I worked for 14 months from june 2005 to july 2006 and made enough money to be considered above the poverty line guidelines for those two years -- 2005 and 2006.
I had to go to India this august 2006 for emergency and I left immediately without giving notice to my employer(luckily I had approved Advace parole). After I came back (within 20 days) I found out that I was fired(My employer was not happy with me since I did not tell him in advance about the trip). Since then I could not find any job. My wife started working after I came back from India and she is making adequate to run the house(below the poverty guide lines).

My question is will it matter at the interview if the income that we have right now is below the poverty line guidelines.if you take the total income of 2006 or 2005 its above the poverty guide lines but right now we dont have any bank balance and also we are not earning enough as per the sponsorship requirements. When we filed in april 2005 we had a joint sponsorer so do I need sponsorer again when I go to the interview on jan 9th 2007.

yes, you still need a joint sponsor. Better find one soon or use the same one (need updated docs from that person).
