My green card was approved in Jan 2015 and the Parent Company (I work for their sister company) in US was the sponsor. I reached out to them to transfer me on their payroll after GC was approved. They declined it and told me that it is not a mandate to move me on their payroll after GC approval. I continued working on their sister company till now. I resigned (not left yet) from the sister company recently. And now I have an option to move to the Parent company after waiting for almost 7 months and resignation from sister company.
I have following questions in this scenario -
1. Can I leave the sponsor company (considering the scenario above) anytime in future in case I get better opportunity outside?
2. Or, I will get stuck with the Parent company for some time if I have to leave in future? And what should be the reasonable time here to avoid issues during naturalization?
