Question regarding Transit Visa to UK while passport stamped

Guys,
I have been thru the UK website & show as exception that u do not require transit visa if you have green card.
But as you know that we(and number of people like me) are waiting for our green card to get in mail yet.
So in that case do we still required transit visa to UK in British airways even if
Our passports have been stamped.?

a friend of mine was told to have GC please call embassy and check with Visa officer and also call the airline they are knowledgeable.
