question regarding SSN

What is this SSN delay that I keep reading on the message boards?

What do we have to update? I already have a SSN. Do we have to update something after approval? Not that I have an approval but just wanted to know if I need to be prepared.

If you check your SS card it will have something like Valid to work with INS Authorization...

Once your I485 is approved , INS notifies SSA about the change of status. Go to SS Office fill out the the application , tell them want to take out the condition as you are PR now , they will take your SSN Card ,will mail you New SSN Card (same SSN ) without Condition in 2 weeks time.

Once you become a citizen - then you change your SS card again ( Citizen from LPR)

You would need all your patience to reach there - not sure if Habib will follow you that far.
