Hello, I have a quick question regarding the SEVIS transfer process for the CPT program I am considering. My F1 OPT expires on April 7, 2025, and I plan to start the CPT program on May 3, 2025.
Would it be possible to transfer my SEVIS record before or on April 7, 2025, take an employment gap from April 7 to May 2, and then resume work starting May 3? I want to ensure that my SEVIS transfer aligns with my academic and employment plans while maintaining compliance with regulations. Can I stay legally in the US from April 7 - May2 when i am not working?
