Question regarding my L1- H1

Hi,

1. I got my H1 stamping from a company A on 2005 Jan up to 2008 Jan but i did not went to US on my H1 B.I am currently working in Switzerland on work permit for last 16 months from a indian based company B. Now due to my personal reasons i want to move US .My current employer company B wants to file L1 B visa for me. So i go for L1 B stamping will be H1 B stamping will be avoided?

2 .Is it possible for me to enter US on my H1 B Visa and can i work with my current company on my L1 B petition approved even i don't have L1 B stamping ?

3. As i had H1 B stamping older almost 17 months Still My H1 B Company is fine to work with me.
Is there any problem for me for entering US on my H1 B now and work on my H1 B?

4. If i come to US on my L1 B visa later can i convert my L1 status to my new company H1 B status?

5. I heard for L1 blanket Visa stamping now there is a mandatory administrative process which will take at least 5-6 weeks time after I received L1 B petition?

6. Can you suggest/guide me whether it is good for me to move US on my company A H1 B or from my current company B on L1 B Visa ?

you may get cancellation stamp on H1 stamp. Or may not. It's probably up to officer.

No, you can not. Using H1 to enter the US makes you on H1 status. You can only work for H1 employer. YOu can change your status to L1 though.

If your H1 petition is still valid, it should not be a problem.

Yes, but I won't recommend it. If one was ever on H1 status, quota is secured, but you are trying to get L1 to H1 without having been H1 status. THat is between the line of word of law, you won't know how they handle it in terms of H1 quota issue(some people successfully got H1 transfer before being H1 status, but I won't recommend because there is no clear guideline).
It is safer to be H1 status at least once.

May be. Not sure it's mandatory.

It is simply your choice which company you want to work for.
