Question regarding H4

If a person changes his H1, does his dependents who are on H4 get any documents saying that this H4 is related to the new H1.

When coming from India, the only evidence for H4 is the visa stamp in passport?

They need to get a new H4, generally. give specific expiry dates and whether they were here when you applied for transfer (or when h1 transfer was approved )or not.
