Question regarding H4

Hi

I got married last month. During 2004, I was on bench for 4 months and my W2 shows less salary than what is projected in LCA.

Now, will this cause any issues in my wife's H4 petition in Chennai?

If yes, is there any way around? She has got an appointment in the last week of september.

Please advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

-------------- they CAN ask why you were not paid for 4 years. Bench or Table is NOT allowed
If yes, is there any way around?
----------- employer need to explain on letter why he did not pay. if employer gives letter then show ONLY if asked
She has got an appointment in the last week of september.

Please advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ginnu,

Thanks for the quick reply. I went to India for 4 months for personal reasons.
Can my wife give this as a reason when questioned in the consulate? Can the employer say in the letter that "Since he went to india for 4 months, we did not pay him". Would that be a valid reason?

Are there any other reasons we can tell? Any suggestions from your side would be of great help.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Anil.
