I am a MS graduate from an US university. My OPT starts on Aug 15th, 2005. I would like to know about my chances of applying for H1B in the next quota (starting April 2006) and incase if I get my H1B in the next quota can I only have a start date of Oct 1st 2006, or can it be earlier.
I would also like to know the happenings if I apply in the 20,000 quota and it's start date.
I would also like to be informed about "change of status approval" inspite of the H1B approval.
Please help me out in this as I am really confused.
