Question regarding G-325A form

Hello All,
I will be filling G-325A to sponsor my spouse who is in India. This form has a question :

"Applicant's last address outside the United States of more than one year."

I have been living in the US for a long time and don't remember the exact address and timeframe I lived at that address.

Can anyone help from his/her experience?

Anyway, your vague recollection is better than anything they know, so whatever you write there that will be it.

But the problem is that I may have filled another G-325A a long time back as part of my GC application. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of that and I don't remember the exact address and the timeframe of my last address outside the US of more than one year (which I may have put on my earlier G-325).

Any suggestion will be helpful.....
 
G-325A Question on mother's maiden name

Hello all,
We are filling out the form G-325A which asks for the following. For mother's maiden name we put in mother's surname (gupta) before marriage and mailed them the form. The INS ppl have sent the form back to us questioning whether s gupta and s kumar are the same ppl! This doesn't make sense - why are they questioning this when they had asked the same ??!! Now one lawyer told us to re-send the form with Surname of Mother changed to "kumar". Wouldn't re-sending the form be more confusing for them and stand against us once again? The INS people just asked us to send a marriage certificate saying that s gupta is married to mr. a kumar ! We don't have any such papers that can prove my mother's last name was gupta ! Please help what should we do !!

Family Name | First Name
Father kumar | a
Mother (maiden) gupta | s
 
That is so weird. I did exactly the same thing as you did but got no letter asking for more info. It just doesnt make sense. In my case, in my home country, the woman doesn't take the husbands last name so my mom kept her maiden name. That shouldnt make a difference though. There is no way your parents can give you a copy of their marriage certificate?
 
Hi thanks for your response. I don't know why they have questioned us - as rationally speaking they shouldn't - as in your case ! My parents have a marriage certificate but it doesn't have my mothers maiden (surname) but it has her name after marriage - so its something like this certifys that s kumar is married to a kumar .. instead of s gupta is married to a kumar. We are trying to get this new marriage certificate now -as that would solve all problems!
 
But does not make any sense...since is your application not theirs...I already answer you in your other threat. Please try to keep one at the time...good luck!
