Question regarding EAD

I am currently on an unpaid leave of absence. I doubt if my current employer would find me a project. I haven\'t yet completed 180 days to change to a new employer. Can I take up another job using my EAD without informing my current employer? Will my current employer come to know about this? Will this create any new problems with INS and the GC process?

I\'m on the same situation. Why not informed your employer? Take a part-time job using your EAD while waiting for a new project. I believed you can take any job using EAD but remember you will need a sponsoring employer for the GC. BTW, how many months of unpaid vacation did you get?
