Question regarding EAD Card & H-1.

Hi,

I have a question regarding EAD Card?

My wife was working in H1 since she got her EAD then we decided to go for EAD at that time we were not aware of the problems. Now she is working in EAD.
Now i am scared if my company gives layoff to me before i get my GC. Is she can go back to H-1 within how may days.If she gets H-1 is she has to leave the country for the H-1 stamping.

Or can i porcess a H1 and keep as a backup.
Please help me out. Thanks for your help in advance.

Your wife\'s H1 should be valid if she still works for the company who filed her H1b.

 If you never be H1, you can file H1b as backup. My friend did this. and still waiting for GC and H1.
