I am getting ready to file my I-485 and I have a basic question regarding my birth certificate. I got my birth certificate in June 2005 and it says the registration date is June 2005. The letter however clearly mentions that the records have been obtained from the original birth records. Will this late registration create a problem?
This is what the letter looks like on a government letterhead:
(Issued under Rule XX/XX of 1969 of Birth and Death registration Act 1969)
Certificate that the under mentioned information have been obtained from Original birth records, which is in the Municipal council <District> of <State> India.
Name: XXXX
Sex: XXX
Date of Birth: XXX
Name of Father: XXX
Name of Mother: XXX
Registration No.: XXX
Date of Registration: June, 2005
Sign with Date and Seal of the Executive officer of the municipal council.
