In my husband's passport, under place of birth, they have mentioned the district he was born, instead of the actual birthplace.
--------- when he got the passport he might have provided the name of District. If it was mistake of passport office why he did not got it corrected?? you CAN get it changed, contact nearest Indian consulate. submit the affidavit , fees

But in his Birth certificate, his actual place of birth and district is displayed.
------- Get his passport corrected
Will this be of any concern when we apply for his I-485?
-----------Yes. will get RFE.get passport corrected Consulate will Endorse his place of Birth on his passport page and attach that page with all other passport pages when apply I-485 and explain on letter that his place of birth should be read as...... and write the same name on I-485 form, G325 form. it need to be same on forms and BC and passport
Also the name of the district has been changed recently. So it's different from his passport. Can someone suggest the options we have and what we need to do so that we don't face any problems when applying for I-485. Thanks in advance.
