Question regardind renewing EAD - strange...

My PD is March 2002 EB3 rest of the world, VSC.

on 2/7/07 I mailed a renewal for my EAD. Normally it takes them 3-4 days, maximum a week to cash my check. For some reason the check did not clear until Saturday (two days ago).
I received the receict today and surprisingly my receit is...MSC. All my previous applications (including my wife's EAD reneal which we did last December) are EAC.
Any one knows why would VT send it to Missouri..?
Also, I was looking at processing times (it says on the form Missori Service Center) and there is no Service center in MO, there is only a local office.

Can someone shed some light on this bizarre thing for me?

But - what could be the reason that all of a sudden my EAD renewal is sent there? We did a renewal couple of months ago for my wife and it was processed in VSC; AP's done in September for all the family - also processed in VSC. Could there be anything in my pending I-485 between December and now that triggered this? I don't understand.
 
They are centralizing the processing for EAD at MSC!

Hi SBI1 ,

Sorry to hear that , but i think is nothing to worry about !!! You'll get an answer also , just be patient !!! If nothing is missing from your aplication , everything will be OK !!! Doesn't matter where your aplication is , just pray to God , that they aprove it faster !!! I just got my aproval on my 4th EAD , it took 80 days for them to do that , the only difference is that i've applied directly to MSC ( e-file ) !!! These days nothing is new on USCIS processings , they do what they want and when they want it !!! Good luck and be patient !!! Keep in touch !!!:)
 
Hi.. I efiled as usual this year and instead of getting VSC receipt number ( as am EB3 , employment based, India) , I too got a MSC number. I too was surprised at this but Infopass lady said its fine.

Is this something that is only related to VSC. I efiled with NSC and I got a NSC receipt number not a MSC.

Anyone, from NSC get a MSC receipt number for efiled EAD?
