Before asking my questions, I understand that there is no certain answer and justification to USCIS procedures. However, I would be thankful if you would give me your feedbacks.

My case is as follows:

EB1 Applicant: WAC-02-286-*****
2nd FP: 7/22/04
LUD: 7/27 -- 8/17 -- 8/27 -- 8/30

I have sent fax inquiries three times since I had my frint-print taken. I am from counties with special registration.

1. Do the LUD updates mean that they have touched my case? What is the indication of these LUDs?

2. How long will I have to wait? Is there any dealy due to the fact that I am from one of thos counties?

Thanks

As you yourself mentioned at the begining that USCIS does not follow set procedures, the same holds true in your case. It is possible since you are from a special registration country they are checking and probably double-checking your case to be thorough.

Also LUD change could be if they just looked at your case ever so many times which is a good thing though, atleast it means they are looking at your case, hence you might either receive approval or RFE on your case pretty soon, as long as your case did not have any complications right through.

GOOD LUCK FOR A QUICK APPROVAL.

With absolutely nothing to justy these assumptions and on the grounds that the following is pure speculation:
1. Change in LUD's with such frequency usually heralds an approval/transfer/RFE, but mostly approval. It does signify that your case is slowing making its rounds at the INS office.
2. If pushed to make a guess, I would guesstimate less than 3-4 weeks for a decision, specially since your FP is upto date. But then this is the INS so can't say for sure.

I don't think being a citizen of the countries with special registration will have much to do with the case other than a stricter verification of your background.

Good luck.
