Question on Visiting US

Hi,

I am living in UK for the past 8 years. My H1 B visa got rejected in 1988 at a consulate in India. they put section 221(g) and later 212. they didnt even let me know what was the reason, the moment i went to the counter they rejected it....

I was headhunted in 1999 by a UK company and when i applied for a tourist visa Dec 99 at london consulate, i was told "potential immigrant" and didnt get a tourist visa.

My passport expired, got a new one and now i have a british passport(britisih citizen).

Am i eligible under VWP (Visa Waiver Program).

I dont have any i ntentions of travelling to US, but i want to know if i m eligible for VWP. Some of my friends r saying they wouldnt even know,

Can anyone let me know reg. the same. Anyhelp much appreciated....
