I am currently on a L1 visa. I will be applying for an H1 next year. My question is, whether it is possible to start off the GC process right now with my prospective employer without first getting an H1 in hand or even working for the same employer.
I was told that this was possible because of some "future employment" clause. I need to know whether this can be done and if so what are the steps and pitfalls/advantages.
