Could someone please tell me what kind of documents needs to be sent to SSS to get the "Status Information Letter", for someone that arrived to the US on a H1-B visa and remained on the visa until becoming LPR, and by which time was over 26 years old. Thank you.

Check the link in my earlier post. The form and its accompanying instructions have all the details.

Well, they don't spell out exactly what they need but rather say "as much information as possible" to prove that your visa status. So I'd assume that it includes a copy of the visa stamp(s) on the passport, and maybe letter(s) from the employer(s) for the entire period of the visa(s) until the LPR status was granted?

I would think the copies of the following:
1. I-94 with entry stamp.
2. passport with entry stamp.
3. H1B visa and validity dates at least covering the entry point to the date you got GC.
4. GC

1, 2 will establish that you entered legally and on what date and on a non-immigrant visa.
3, will establish that you werent out of status till you got GC, and were residing as a non-immigrant
4, will establish the day when you became an immigrant and that you were older than 26 years on that day.
