My wife is who is the primary applicant for our I-485 got an RFE asking for medical re-examination. She was pregnant when the first medical report was submitted so not all immunization was done.

I have question on this. Do we have go through all of the required medical tests/immunization or only complete the medical tests/immunization that were'nt completed earlier ?

Experienced folks please reply and post your thoughts...

Thanks in advance....

same here

my wife also got the rfe for not taking immunizations because at the time of exam she was feeding our baby. The RFE clearly says due to so and so reasons you have not taken the immunizations, asking her to take all the needed immunzs. and complete the medical exam.
So, it needs to be done - my attorney says, because of this some peoples cases are pending- till such time they take the imms and medical exam re submission.
Wait and finish all, it should be approved..

How much time did it take to receive the RFE letter from USCIS? I got an email from USCIS on 09/28/2004 and till now neither me nor my attorney received the letters. I didnot change my address or any thing? Do I need to call the support center?

I havent recieved the RFE letter yet (or heard anything from lawyer).. online message says the letter was mailed on September 29th 2004.

:)
mad

Attorney got the RFE letter in about a week(actually in about 4 days ).

My question remains still unanswered. Does she need to undergo all the tests or only those that were'nt done earlier ?

GCSeekerInd,
Have you received the actual RFE document? If so, what does it say?

In our case, the RFE (on Medicals) was very specific about what test to re-take. If yours is not specific, I would advise you to talk to your lawyer and also to the USCIS-approved doctor who gave you the original exam. Our doctor (actually the nurse) was quite clear about how to respond to the RFE, due to her experience. There was also no extra charge!

I guess one factor that will determine whether you have to take all or only the left-out tests is the amount of time that has elapsed since you took the original exam. In our case, it was just a few months.

USCIS gives ample time to respond to these RFEs. You can also contact them if you have any questions about the RFE itself.

Hope this helps.

Please help me what to do

I got an RFE last month and my attorney recevied it and my employer sent a fax copy requesting for my pay stubs and tax returns. I did send immediately to my employer the same day and it has been almost 3 weeks, my employer is yet to send the Employment Verification Letter. When asked getting a reply will send it today will send it tomorrow. Can you help me what to do in this situation? Last day for receiving the RFE reply by INS is 12/04/2004. All the other candidates got approved from the company. I am alone right now.
