CP gurus,

While filling P3, I want to fill that my wife will be following me to U.S. after 3 months.

But after the interview, if we decide to come together to the U.S. within a month's time what are the implications for the form filled?

Will there be any serious issues to it? Or is there anything I should consider doing?

Thanks

It does not matter...

what you fill in the P#; you can change your plans at any time- with the following caveats.
1. The principal applicant enters US first. (If the dependant/s is/are entering separately)
2. All the parties enter within 6 months from the date of issue of the visa.
;)

The only requirement they expect is the main applicant enters
US first or they enter together.

The dependents can follow anytime within the given 6 months.

Each of you will get seperate Visa packets. What ever you fill
in your DS 230, you can change your plans later and come together also.

So do you have to inform them in packet 3 that the spouse will come to the US within 3 months after the main applicant comes
thanks

If you look through the DS 230 Part I there are two questions
which ask you to list the persons accompanying you and those
that are joining you later.

Fill these as you require.

If you have already sent the DS 230 then you need not worry.
Anyway you will get your Visa packets seperate, and your
spouse can come later.

Your entry into US should take place first.
