Question on PERM processing

Hi All,
I have one question on PERM processing.
As of now my company filed PERM application in EB3 category and the company got a query from DOL and still not approved. Now I got approval from my company to start new PERM in EB2 category. New position has to be advertised and it will take atleast another 6 months to actually file the new PERM application under EB2 category. What will happen to EB3 PERM application that is with DOL if we start advertising the new postion? Can I have the current EB3 PERM application active and also start EB2 PERM processing?

That should be ok... By the time you'll be ready to file EB2, i.e. advertisement, waiting period etc.. you'll have EB3 decision.

How do you think DOL find out about advertisement for EB2? When you advertise you're not advertising EB2, you're specifying qualification that would later satisfy EB2 criteria.

EB2 qualifications would be different than EB3.... and company can have multiple openings requiring different criteria.
