I was filling up the passport renewal application and one of the questions was

"Did you possess any other nationality or travel document of any other country"

I have been using the Advance Parole. Should i be mentioning that?

Thanks In Advance

Thanks

Thanks...

Another question: I frankly dont remember the date of issue of my driver's license. dont know what to do there...

There is also another question as to how long the applicant has been outside India...Should i just say "From XXXX onwards" or should i count the number of days ....

I renewed my passport last year..

I just put since AugXXX 1994... I dont think counting days is a very good idea.

Hope that helps

Re: Thanks

Driver License Date :- Which driver license - Indian or American ?

I lived in only state in the USA and the driving license has the issue date. I assume you live in the USA, hence you have provide the driving license details of the USA license. (not Indian driving license). I think your American driving license should have issue date, if not ask DMV, they will tell. But the point is, you need to give the driving license details of your place of residence.

How long applicant has been outside India :- I guess you work in the USA. The day you left India for "Working" or "Taking residence (permanent or temporay)", you are out of India since that day. Number of years and months will do - no need to count days. The visits back home (if less than 180 days), don't count.

I hope it helps.

agree totally with toolongawait

Anitha R, the indian passport renewal ( i assume you are indian!!!) took 2 weeks. It was a breeze. In contrast my sons' U.S passports took 4 weeks to renew.

Just put down the date you set foot in the U.S

Your U.S drivers license has the date of issue. I would not mention a Indian drivers license

AP does not count as you are still not a U.S citizen

Texas drivers license does not have issue date. Just subtract 5 years from the expiry date and put that as the issue date. No one even cares about it. So this is not such a big deal.
