Question on Online Status

I have applied my N400. Here are my details.

10/10/2009 Mailed N-400 to TX
10/16/2009 Delivery Received Date to TX
10/20/2009 Check Cashed Date
10/20/2009 I-797C Notice Date
10/20/2009 I-797C Received Date
10/27/2009 Fingerprint Notice Date
10/29/2009 Fingerprint Notice Received Date
11/09/2009 Fingerprint Appointment Date
XX/XX/20XX Fingerprint Walk-in Date
XX/XX/20XX Yellow Letter Received with IL
XX/XX/20XX Interview Letter Received Date
XX/XX/20XX Interview Date
XX/XX/20XX Oath Letter Received Date
XX/XX/20XX Oath Date

When I checked the Online Status with my Application Number which Starts as NBC*000xxxxxx, I saw that it was in "Request for Evidence" status.

However today I received the FP notice. Is that proper message or should I get a letter asking for RFE details.

Here is how it is:

Request for Evidence

On October 26, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Like SEA said, you are in the clear. The additional evidence they need has to do with your FBI/police records and to get this, they need your FP. So they are taking your FP in order to access and validate you FBI record. If you have no issue with the cops other than mere traffic ticket then you should have nothing to worry about.

I was in the same situation. I panicked when i saw this message first, but then later turned it out to be the FP notice. So, wait for the FP Letter :-)

I already got the FP Letter. I have no issues with cops or anything. I will do the FP soon.

I will keep updating mt Orlando Tracker.
