Question on native passport

i just notice that my passport is about to expire. i can not renew it as everyone knows. but my question is: when i got my green card, can i still apply a new native passport (in case of family emergency)?
Any suggestion?

thats bullshit, having a passport is way better showing them the RTD. Besides i dont think they have criminal record on their computer just yet.
Also u should not question the status of people because it is given by US government. It is very rude to question and judge the status of other people simply because u have no right to do so.

I think it's not necessary to talk about if the asylee is fake or not. We never exactly know the hardship they passed through. Since the INS had aready granted them Asylum, it becomes meaningless to talk about if they r true or not. To instead of, We got to know that topic doesnt make any sense.Why dont we spend more time on sth productive, such as figuring out how to deal with guys' potential problems or sth. Remember, sharing information and experiences is our goal of being here. Meaning that why not let's jsut try to abandon some of our criticises not to trouble other ppls' own choices or minds.

Yes, I'm sure u guys dont expect any of low-level quarrels happen again in here.
Remember, this place has been calming down.

There is a person i know of who acquired GC based on asylum,lost his wife while she went to visit home country.He went to his home country for funeral and came back without any problem.Its been almost 5 yrs now.What i`m not sure of is what kind of travel document he used.Just last year he went back to home country came back with no problem.

kaoticfury!!!! What is wrong with you. What do you mean by saying you will go back home if you have emergency. Does it mean you are not going to be prosecuted by your government if you have family emergency,that looks funny to me. Please don't repeat this kind of unresponsible idea to the INS because you will be automatically deported.Think about it before applying for RTD or your native passport.
