Question on marriage and PR

I'm a newly US PR. I'm planning to marry a girl (currently holding F1 visa). My question is what will her status be the moment we got the marriage license? Can she automatically apply for PR? if so, while waiting for her PR status to come in; is she eligible for instate tuition? work off campus? or even for student loan?

thanks

Is a long wait for PR spouses to immigrate, it could take from 4 to 6 years for her to get a Green Card.
You should apply for your citizenship.
No, she can not apply for PR until her priority date becomes current. (4 to 6 years)
If you apply for her as PR and her interview day comes she needs proof tha she has been in the country legally while waiting for her green card. Otherwise you have to do Consular Processing and she will have her interview in her home country.
Her status won't change if she marry you.

thanks for the replies; so what will her status be? I'm guessing she won't be eligible to work or instate tuition?
