Question on LCA and salary on W2

Hi All,
Consulates compares salary in the W2 and LCA and if it does not match we get a query. With what salary type does it compare from W2?
For ex: If LCA states 55K, and if the earned salary is 55K,and if I take tax free amount of 6K (say transportation) from the earned salary,so will my salary will be considered 55K or 49K?

W2 has

GrossPay:55K
Less Other:6K
Reported W-2 Wages: 49K .

With which one Consulate compare please help.

W2 wage is the right one. Thats what you are going to enter in to your Tax return.

Thanks great guru, I know that we are going to enter W2 wage for tax returns but with what salary does consulate compare ?
