Question on I-512L (AP Docs)

Today, I was pleasantly surprised to receive my AP (I-512L) docs in the mail. What is surprising is that I never got a electronic approval notification or web portfolio status change at the USCIS website about my I-131 application. As of today the I-131 case status still shows "case received & pending" on the USCIS website. Date of issue on the document is 12/14/08 and soft LUD on the website was 12/18/08. Question - Does it happen often or is it normal?

My second question to others who have already received their I-512L.
I received two copies of the document, which are exactly same (ditto). Does it mean I have AP for traveling 2 times in a year? In my application I did mention that I need AP for multiple entries.

I am kinda confused; any comments/ experiences/ suggestions appreciated!

2 copies of AP -one will be kept by Immgration Officer when you travel. Other will be stamped and given back to you. If it is valid for multiple entry, then that single doc is usable as many number of times.
