Question on H1B, while travelling

Hi, I am on H4. I applied for H1B change of status and went to India, while I was in India my H1B got approved. Also I got approval for the H4 extension. while in India I got the H4 extsion Visa stamping and came back to US on the new H4.

Now, I am hearing that I will have problems working on H1B, as I am not supposed to travel while the application is in process.

Can someone let me know, what can be done now. Can I work on H1B? Can I go to canada and get the H1B visa?

hi, i am in similar situation, I am on H4 and applied for H1B which is still under process.
Can i visit India during the processing? And in case if H1b gets approved when i am in India, can i come back to USA on current H4 visa? Please let me know.

if you travel during change of status application is pending, COS is considered abandoned, and you can not change your status in the US. What you have to do is getting H1 stamp and enter the US with that stamp before starting to work.

Can I apply for the Visa in Canada. What are my chances? I have my education and experience in India.

Also, What are the chances if I apply for COS here in US?
