question on fing printing expiration and approvals

Hi everyone,

I find this forum very useful and thus I am seeking opinion from all the members here.

after going through a lot of postings here I understand that the fingerprinting is valid for 15 months.

1. Does that NECESSARILY mean that everyone should expect an approval before the FP expires. If no then does one have to go for re finger printing once again.

2. let's say if there is an RFP and by the time you reply and BCIS recieves there is a possibility that the fingerprinting might have excedeed 15 months. Then what happens?

I will appreciate your kind comments.

regards

. No , you should make your expectation in reality and yes..if you don't get approved before Fp expire, you need to re FP..

general conception is, if your case gets assigned to office before your FP expires, you are safe. Although there is no hard facts or written documentaion to support that

Wrong.

1) FP date doesn's affect officer decision. They don't process cases based on FP order. They don't care if your FP is going to expire and mercy you to process your case first.

2) If your FP expired, and the officer get your case, very much likely(and actually 98% from my observation) they are going to issue you a RFE.
They don't want to give you approval if your FP
expired.

3) Once you reply your RFE, you're going to get second FP. That's always happening. 100% sure.

Your finger print report has to be valid at the time of approval. So you have to do 2nd FP if the earlier FP is more than 15 months old.

My observation is late FP date cases get processed first. could be earlier FP cases are stacking at the bottom. FILO(first in last out).

dengdeng, what you are saying doesn't

corelate with what I am saying..

We have seen from many posts that some people got approved even there FP was expired when they got approved ( and the reason being ,probably their case got assigned before Fp expired)

and if your FP expired and officer gets the case certainly he is going to reissue RE FP notice and RFE depending on ( his mood.. any complication in file)

RDMAR02, I only knew two persons get approved
after FP expired from this board. How many you know? And how long after the FP expired
