Hi all,

here's my background: I'm a citizen who's applied for my wife's GC papers (485, 130). My wife is currently on a F1 visa. Fingerprinting is complete and advance parole has been approved.

We're moving from FL to MN in the near future.
Question - if my wife moves to MN (leaving her academic program), what happens to her F1 status?
Another point, if she moves to MN, does this mean we need to start the paperwork again from scratch?
I had heard that once the GC process gets to a certain point, staying in one location is not critical anymore?

thanks a bunch,
-HP

since your wife has applied for AOS, she doesn't need to maintain her F-1 status.

no, you don't need to file the paperwork again, but you need to notify USCIS in writing and on the phone, and maybe even through INFOpass about your new address. Otherwise, they may neglect to send a notice about the interview to your new address and you will be rejected.
