Question on exp date of EAD and AP paper based forms

Hi,

I need to renew my EAD and AP and decided to mail in the forms. I have a few questions.

1. Exp. dates on the application forms (top right corner) downloaded from WEB are 4/30/05(EAD) and 6/30/04(AP). Is it ok to use these forms now? If not where do I get latest versions?

2. My wife doesn't have a birth cerifiticate, we used affadavits and non-availability letters earlier when filing for 485. Can I use the same?

3. My H1B expires this Dec(EAD expires Jan 10th). I will be mailing my EAD and AP applicatoin by Oct 1st. So for the application is my "current immigration status" h1 or pending AOS?

4. On AP application, I think the "Part 2.Application type" is d) "I am applying for an advance parole document to allow me to return to the United States after temporary foreign travel." Please correct me if I'm wrong. Our status is pending AOS.

Since PDs have retrogessed to 98, why don't USCIS provide us EADs and APs valid until 485 approval?. Also we lose some time every year as some times next EAD is approved well before previous one expires. I think I have to at least renew these two 5-6 times :(

1. try calling 1-800 no. a particular option sequence can get you to a human being. (search for my post sometime ago)

2. i didnt think you needed a birth cert.

3. it looks liek you are already late for filing..( I E-filed about 90 days ahead and still no sign). I would strongly advise on H1B extension. this was the mistake i did.

Can I still extend my h1 though I have applied for 485 already and renewing my EAD?

Also, what should be the "Class of admission" in AP application? My h1 expires this Dec.
 
Class of admission would be what status you held the last time you entered the US. For you probably H-1B.

You can extend your H-1B for a total of 6 years. After that it is extended yearly if you have a labor certification thats at least 1 year old.
