I need to renew my EAD.

The EAD form asks the current status.

I am on EAD, what is my status?

If the Current Status is I486 Pending (or AOS) do you write "AOS" for question 15?

Also, for question 14, "Manner of Last Entry", what would I write if we entered on H1 and H4 visas?

Other EAD questions: EAD Receipt Number

Hi, Folks,
I am new to 485 forum. I have a rather naive question: when you apply for EAD, will there be a receipt number issued to you just like other cases? When I asked my paralegal for an EAD receipt number, she just gave me my 485 receipt number. I don't know whether I can use this number to check whether my EAD has been approved or not.

No you can not check your EAD status by using 485 WAC number, for EAD you should have a different WAC number, since EAD is a separate application so it has a separate WAC number.

Thanks. I will ask the paralegal again and again for the EAD receipt notice until she finally gives me one. (Sometimes I wonder whether those paralegals read our emails before reply. Putting our cases on the hands of this kind of persons is really really dangerous, yet I have no other options)
