Question on checking status at local DO.

Hi,
It's been quite some time now, approximately 6 months to date and I haven't received an oath date as yet. At the interview all went well and the only thing marked was I passed the test and a decision cannot be made at this time (awaiting background checks - 120 days). I am going in to my local DO tomorrow morning to ask a question about my case and find out what's going on. NTW this is my first visit since the interview.
Questions:-
(1) What do I take with me? Just the original Interview form I received after the Interview and my GC?
(2)What question should I ask?
(3) Any other recommendations.
Thanks,

1. Yes.
2. You should ask them if your background check has been completed. If it has, then they'll tell you that you will receive your oath letter soon. If it hasn't, than they'll tell you that they can't do anything until they get the response from the FBI.
3. Read the first thread on this forum "My Name Check Experience".

So, In case the name check was pending, the USCIS is not liable to comply with the 120 days condition to take a decision on one's citizenship's case?
Oh , one more , question, if the name check was clear, and the file is only under review, and the USCIS exceeded the 120 days law, then how can we approach this situation practically? step by step? and where and how to start?
Thanks for any ideas and suggestions.
thanks

Sony,
I am not a pro. But I have heard from others who went through the process, that if you have received a name check cleared that is a great thing. However if the case is under review, you either have to wait for them to finish reviewing or normally you should receive a letter asking for additional evidence which you would have to mail back to them.
Good luck,
