Question on Change of Job

Hi all,

Due to various reasons, I am considering options of switching to new job. I am in the 485 stage filled in mid of 2002. Still a few more moths to wait I guess. I am on my 2nd EAD and AP.

Is it 100% fool proof to change into a new job (could be a different title and more responsibility and possibly more salary) and ACT21 will shield me.

My 140 got approved in Nov 2001. Could my current employer possibly do something to jeopordise my job change?

Do I have to inform INS about the job change, or can I wait until if there was a RFE?

Please enlighten me.

You are fine as long as you get 140 approved and 485 filing 180days.

Based on my lawyer's response:

I140 can not be revoked once it was approved.

Filing AC21 is not mandatory.

you will be fine as long the new position has similar description and 485 has been pending for 180 days (though I am not sure counting from RD or ND)

FYI, I changed job after 183 days from ND on 485 receipt and got 485 approval after RFE.
