Question on AOS vs. CP

I've been reading the info available on this site and it's great since it's much more helpful than the government site. I had a few questions though.
I'm sponsoring my parents and they're visiting here now but will return to S. Korea in a month. We basically want them to be here permanently asap. From what I've been reading Consular Processing is faster to get through the whole process of immigration.

However, since they are immediate relatives and there is an instant priorty visa date for them...Could they just move to the USA and we could go through the AOS? That way they could at least be here faster, and go through the process while living here? I'm I missing something here, or would this really be the best way to go about it?

To choose the process is a decision between you and your parents. Be sure that your parents really want to be here permanently.

Yes, they do want to be here permanently. So, can you answer some of the questions I listed about it? After their return trip to Korea, can they just book another visit here, and we can change from CP to AOS? Then they can be here sooner while waiting for the immigration process? Thanks.

Based on the assumption that you are a US Citizen:
If your parents are already here on a visitor's visa, then you can file both I-130, I-485 (for AOS) package for them right away. Recently, this process has become much quicker than CP as inferred from some time lines on this website. So, if your priority is to have your parents here ASAP, bring them here first and then start the AOS process. This way, they would never have to leave US, unless they want to.

Thanks, yes I was born here so I am a USC. My parents were both USC as well but they returned to Korea 10 years ago. For some business reasons they had to give up their US citizenship. Anyway, I already started the i-130 for both of them and it's been accepted. I received a noticed that I will be contacted by the NVC, and I believe they sent something to my parents address in Korea. It looks like right now the process is CP, but from what I'm reading I can still file an AOS.

Right now they are visiting and they have a return ticket at the end of March. They do need to go back to take care of some things there. I thought perhaps they could take care of everything and get another visit here but it looks like that may be a problem. Since they visited recently, they may be denied entry again. They do have a 10 year visitor visa, but it still could be a problem.

I guess we need to decide if it's best for them to keep their flight schedule and return so we will continue with CP....or if they should cancel, and we could start AOS. In which case I think I read they could obtain something where they could temporarily leave the USA so they can take care of loose ends in Korea.

Thanks for the help, I'm continuing to read as much as possible. This site is a great help!
