I am an Indian citizen and green card holder since the past 4 years. I bought agriculture land 2 years ago. I am planning to apply for Citizenship next year.

Do I need to give up my agriculture land in order to pursue US Citizenship? What are my options?

According to FEMA and RBI regulations NRI cant buy agricultural or farm land or plantation land in India. As the registrar or Sub-Registrar doesn’t ask for passport or NRI status many buy agricultural land. Registrar also doesn’t know the law. You can keep your land in India and it has nothing to do with US citizenship.
