Pls kindly help:

I am now filing 140 and 485 as OR concurrently.
My question is:
180 days after I filed 485 (assuming 140 not approved at that time),
can I change employer?

Should I ask my new employer to do something with my old 140 application
in that case? Should my new employer employ at least 7 researchers? Or everything is on myself and my lawyer who did the original
case for my original employer?

Thanks a lot for your kind help!!

My general advice is not to change your job as long as I-140 and I-485 are not approved. I know that there are legal possibilities but as long as your company doesn't go down the drain I think it is too risky to change at this time. I heard of cases where people did everything according to the law but they had more than one visit at the USCIS to justify why they changed the job with the old company still in good shape. And every lawyer I talked to also agreed that there is a high risk of problems with USCIS if you change your job without very good reasons.
And I might be wrong but I thought that your I-140 has first to be approved to change jobs and your I-485 has to be filed for 180 days.
