Question, need help? Gcard vs Citizen

im out of status, been here for 8 yrs, My girlfriend is a Gcard holder. we live together and have joint bank accts and everything.

we are planning on getting married and I was wondering will I have to wait a long time for a EAD work permit??

She has a interview for citizenship in Dec. I was wondering if i should wait till then.

Is the EAD processing the same if you get married to Gcard holder and or a citizen, or does Gcard take longer?

It takes much longer as a GC holder, and someone out of status like yourself cannot file an I-485 based on marriage to a GC holder, but you can when married to a US citizen.
