Question: moving out of US

I'm still in the pending case for conditional PR (file in the end of Jan,2007). I just got my AP approved, but still waiting for the AOS interview. My husband (a USC) has to go to my country for 10 months for his research and I will be going alone. We hope to have our interview before we leave in mid-August 2007. I have couple questions

If I have my interview and got approved before we leave
1) How long can I leave the country? Should I come back within 6 months?
2) how can we prove that we are still living together outside of US? (We will be living with my parents back home) Can I get help from the embassy in my country?

If I don't have interview before we leave
1) Is that possible to have AOS interview in the embassy in my country?
2) If we come back to the US for AOS interview, would there be a problem since we are living oversea?
2) Since we will be living oversea, can we have USCIS mail any documents/notification oversea?

Or, should I just wait in the US for the AOS interview...and have my husband travel back to the US for the interview.

Thank you...

Generally speaking, you want to keep your absences less than six months, but most importantly you need to maintain US residence.

There's a good chance that would be construed as abandoning US residency.

No.

2) If we come back to the US for AOS interview, would there be a problem since we are living oversea?

USCIS doesn't give Green Cards to people who don't live in the US. I'd ensure that you maintain your US residency.
