I am going to newark, nj for ps.
In infopass appointment receipt they mentioned to "Bring with you the approval letter / Form I-797C, 2 passport-style photographs (2 if temporary card needed), and a valid, unexpired passport."

what is temporary card?
Shall i carry ADIT photographs or some other type.

You should carry the new (front pose) photos. Approval notices may still contain the old language (refernece to ADIT style), things take a long... very long time to change at USCIS
