Question: I-485 online status

I noticed that someone mentioned that the I-485 case status
will be changed to FP received after the FP. My parents did
FP about two months ago but the online case status never
change.

Can someone please tell me if it is the online status that
will say FP received or some others?

Thanks!

In most of the cases it chages within a week or so, and following message appears

"On August XX, 2005, the results of your fingerprint review for your IXXX Application to XXXXX were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."

You may call CIS customer service(or INFOPASS, best option), just to verify that they have actually got FP in there database.

I called USCIS today to ask regarding the accuracy of online status. For one, the rep did not know what timeline to follow and was giving me all wrong information about dates. But she also ended up telling me that major changes are happening to the USCIS website and they are working on it. According to her, this is the reason NBC does not bother updating the online status as frequently as they should be. This change could mean accurate timelines and case status updates OR more confusion and paranoia. God help us!!!

Well, neither of my cases appeared before for about a month. After that I called and they put a note in the system and wait for 30 days. In 2 weeks my I-130/I-765 appeared. My I-485 didn't appear for about 2 months until I made my FP & Bio. Then 6 days later the change in status on my I-485 changed again about the FP. Strangely, YESTERDAY Aug 23 I was checking at 11PM my case status online since I didn't check it in a while. I found out the news on my I-485 and the same message on my I-765 (after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Will be mail as soon as it is ready). I thought that meant that it was approved. I was wrong. I decided to print it but I closed already the page so when I made again the same search for my I-765, suddenly changed and now states "This case has been approved" and bla bla bla...at 11pm....weird. At the end says that if in 14 days I didn't received a card I should call the 800 number to check address.
Cross fingers and prayers...I really need it!

For case status online, I won't worry to much, it is a kind of relief, BUT at the end they take time to update the status. For example I don't understand why we can't have the I-130 approved as soon as the green card holder have it, even we don't have to wait for a visa number. It is silly! You can call the 800 number and check but not go in the part that enter your receipt number, check the part if you don't have a receipt number, so you can talk with somebody and they put you an officer.

Anyway, looking at the times on my DO my waiting is long I just hanging in there with the care and love of my husband and my family.

By the way I don't know if you find out or know about this, but I found a reading I have to look at it again, that the Customer Service is another contractor for the USCIS??

Good luck,

Dear Cherr1980,

I got the same messages about my I765.
On August 16, I got an email saying” after approving your application, we ordered you a new card….”
